Children, Youths and Seniors generally benefit from discounts. Age ranges may vary depending
on the passes. Check pictograms to know which fare applies in which case, and what the age
limits are. Examples below.
Children up to 4 years old do not pay when travelling with an adult, unless
a reservation for separate berth or seat is required.
Child discount: Children from 4 to 11 years old pay half the adult fare.
Youth discount: the Youth fare is dedicated to travellers who are between 12 to 25 years old.
Senior : the adult fare is dedicated to travellers who are 60 years old and over before the first day of travel.
Twin : 2 German Rail Passholders travelling together at all times.
Saver : from 2 to 5 Passholders travelling together at all times.
Party : from 3 to 9 BritRail Passholders travelling together at all times.
